Abstract—For years and years after the discovery of cancer have loads and loads of scientists trying to cure cancer and reduce the mortality rate. However, until nowadays, conventional methods including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy are not satisfactory enough because of their severe side effects and possibility of secondary cancer. Scientists now introduce novel therapies in the treatment of cancer to reduce side effects and ensure patients' wellbeing. Immunotherapy is an exciting approach while it uses human's immune system to target and eliminate cancer cells, leading to much less side effects and higher effectivity. Among them, Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell therapy shows its effectiveness in treating unsolid tumors including leukemia based on stem cells. Stem cells are promising tools in the field of cancer treatment due to their ability to differentiate into various kinds of cells performing different functions inside human’s body. New aspects of traditional approaches like Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) show the unlimited possibility in conventional treatment methods. Though facing ethical and safety issues, scientists are confident of those novel therapies performing critical roles in the future accomplishment of cancer elimination. A long road is in front of scientists while novel therapies can lead to unpredicted side effects and be fatal during the experimental stage, and public often hold questions toward them. Some of them showing relatively satisfactory safety level are not provided in underdeveloped areas, mostly Africa. Problems do exist, but the future of cancer treatment is on the shoulder of those novel therapies.
